Sad news for PH MAYs: Park Ji-hoon's Manila fancon canceled
Filipino fans of K-pop idol-actor Park Ji-hoon will have to wait a little longer to see him in person.
The singer and actor's scheduled 2026 Asia Fancon Tour stop in Manila on Aug. 8 has officially been canceled, marking a disappointing update for local MAYs who had been looking forward to his return.
Park Ji-hoon's agency, YY Entertainment, announced on July 8 that the Manila event would no longer push through and has instead been relocated to Macau.
"We sincerely thank all the MAYs who are supporting Park Ji-hoon and this Asia Fancon Tour. We would like to inform you that the concert originally scheduled for Manila on Saturday, August 8, 2026, has been relocated to Macau due to unavoidable circumstances," the agency said in a statement.
The agency also apologized to fans who had been eagerly waiting for the star's Manila visit.
The Manila stop was first announced in May as part of Park Ji-hoon's 2026 Asia Fancon Tour. The tour kicked off in Tokyo and Seoul in May and is now set to conclude in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Aug. 29.
As of writing, neither YY Entertainment nor the local promoter has announced whether the canceled Manila fancon will be rescheduled.
