President Marcos has attended the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) command conference, where he was briefed on military campaign plans and operational accomplishments of the AFP, Malacañang said.
According to Malacañang, Marcos was briefed on the progress of the AFP's ongoing operations, strategic plans, and key programs to achieve a resilient and secure archipelago through coordinated national efforts.
The command conference was held on Tuesday, July 7, at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
The AFP also presented its accomplishments and operational updates under the military's campaign plan to the President.
AFP officials also presented the military's accomplishments over the past year and outlined its priorities, initiatives, and operational objectives for the future.
The command conference serves as the AFP's "campaign review," during which the military reports to the President on the implementation of its campaign plan, assesses operational gains, and discusses strategies to address emerging security challenges.
Earlier, AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. underscored the campaign's vision of building a resilient and secure archipelago through synchronized efforts across the government and the security sector.
The conference was attended by the AFP's senior leadership from across the country, along with Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr.
No further details about the conference and the AFP report were disclosed by the Palace.
