The Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) said the incident occurred at around 7:10 a.m. when the jeepney's brakes allegedly failed while traveling along E. Rodriguez Avenue in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
To avoid a more serious collision, police said the driver allegedly steered the jeepney toward a PLDT concrete cable post.
The 46‑year‑old driver and all 10 passengers, aged 17 to 73, sustained body injuries from the impact.
Responding rescue personnel immediately assisted the victims and brought them to a hospital for treatment.
Police said the driver, the jeepney owner, and the passengers were discussing a possible amicable settlement, with the jeepney owner shouldering the victims' medical expenses.
