ILOILO CITY—Police seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth more than P28 million in Iloilo province last month.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office said 4.1 kilos of shabu and 355 grams of marijuana were confiscated from June 1 to 30.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) under Police Major Dadje Delima recovered P9.3-million worth of illegal drugs, followed by the Estancia Municipal Police Station (MPS) with P5.2 million and the Balasan MPS with P3.9 million.
Fifty-five suspected drug pushers were apprehended in 39 anti-drug operations. Eighteen were considered as high-value individuals (HVIs).
IPPO chief Police Col. Bayani Razalan cited operating units for their achievements.
“We recognize the relentless efforts and commitment of our personnel on the ground, together with our stakeholders, which led to these major gains,” said Razalan in a statement.
“Rest assured, all monitored individuals who continue to engage in illicit activities will be given priority attention and, with sufficient evidence, will face immediate law enforcement action,” added Razalan.
