CONFIRMED! Vice Ganda, Vic Sotto join forces for 'The Greatest Showdown'

After exchanging hi's and hello's on their respective afternoon show, box office royalties Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto finally announced they are teaming up for the film, "The Greatest Showdown."
The pair officially unveiled the project on Sunday, July 5, at a mall event in Cubao.
During the launch, Vice and Vice mentioned public clamor as main reason for the film collaboration. 
"Sa lahat ng Dabarkads, sa lahat ng Madlang People, ito po ay para sa inyo,” Vic said.
Vice couldn't hide her excitement standing on the same stage with Vic, co-host of "Eat Bulaga," rival of his noontime show "It's Showtime."  

"Hindi lang ito ang una at huling beses nyo kami na makikita ngayon," Vice said. "Mapapanood nyo kaming magkasama sa isang pelikula.”
Vic described their film as "hardcore comedy," something that the country badly needed.
"Alam naman natin na ang bansa dumaan na sa mga pagsubok kaya kailangan natin ngumiti. Kailangan natin gumanda ang mga awra. Kasing ganda ni Vice Ganda,” Vic explained.
Directed by Jun Robles Lana, the film's official release date has yet to be revealed.
That said, many believe they would submit it to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.
