Allen Ansay breaks silence on Sofia Pablo, confirms courtship has ended
Kapuso actor Allen Ansay has come out to admit that he had stopped courting his screen partner Sofia Pablo in March amid persistent online speculation about their relationship.
Allen addressed the issue in a comment on a viral TikTok video comparing his recent social media posts with Sofia's, who has recently been spotted with fellow "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" housemate Iñigo Jose.
"Gusto ko lang po linawin na okay po kami ni Sofia. Wala pong iniwan, nagpaasa, o nang-bale-wala sa kahit kanino," Allen wrote.
He emphasized that they continue to respect each other despite not pursuing a romantic relationship.
"Maayos po naming nirerespeto ang isa’t isa, at nagbago lamang ang direksyon ng aming mga priorities lalo na po sa trabaho," he said.
Allen likewise appealed to fans to stop spreading false narratives and to refrain from blaming Sofia over what happened between them.
"Sana po ay tigilan na natin ang pagpapakalat ng mga maling kuwento o false narratives tungkol kay Sofia. Wala po siyang ginawang masama," he said.
Known collectively as Team Jolly, Allen and Sofia have starred together in several GMA teleseryes and built a strong following as a love team.
For her part, Sofia had previously described her relationship with Allen as a "special friendship."
Their relationship became a hot topic when Sofia entered "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0." During the show, fellow housemate Iñigo Jose, son of actor James Blanco, admitted that he had developed feelings for her.
While inside the house, Sofia became emotional as she recalled promising Allen that she would remain loyal and not entertain anyone else during her stay. After her eviction, Allen welcomed her outside the house and thanked her for keeping that promise.
