AC health expands investments in multi-specialty centers
The newly launched Healthway Multi-Specialty Center One Ayala stands as a premier, 1,300-square-meter flagship facility located right within Makati City’s busiest transit hub.
Following the opening of its biggest Healthway Multi-Specialty Center in Makati, Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. (AC Health) is planning to open two more branches to hit its target of operating a network of 20 branches by next year.
"We are actively scaling our footprint to bring high-quality primary and specialized care closer to more communities, driven by our goal to reach 20 multi-specialty clinics by 2027," Healthway Multi-Specialty Centers Chief Operating Officer Edwin Magsino said in a media briefing.
He added that the company will open another branch in LIMA Estate in Lipa-Malvar in Batangas by next month and McKinley West in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig later this year.
Magsino said the flagship branch involved investments of ₱60 million to ₱70 million for the construction cost and medical equipment. The Batangas and Taguig branches will cost about ₱45 million to ₱50 million each as these will be standard-sized branches.
The newly-opened flagship facility, located in the major transit hub One Ayala in Makati, is one of Healthway Medical Network's largest outpatient facilities, with approximately 1,300 square meters of floor space.
The facility features 14 consultation rooms, an ambulatory surgery center for outpatient procedures, an endoscopy unit, a 12-chair dialysis center, and a specialized women's center with mammography.
AC Health Chief Health Officer Dr. Beverly Ho underscored the group’s commitment to delivering patient-centered healthcare and advancing its goal of touching one out of five Filipinos by 2030.
"This flagship clinic reflects our commitment to better care and patient experience. By establishing comprehensive multi-specialty centers in key transit hubs, we ensure that patients do not have to compromise between their busy schedules and their health," Dr. Ho said.
Healthway’s new flagship facility has more than 100 on-site physicians, providing patients with direct access to an extensive medical team backed by the full strength of AC Health’s network, which boasts 2,800 physicians nationwide.
It also provides patients with referral pathways to specialized services, including the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital in Arca South.
Meanwhile, Healthway One Ayala also features a strategic co-location with another AC Health brand, St. Joseph Drug powered by SUGI, which includes a dedicated lane exclusively for Healthway patients to easily claim and fulfill their prescriptions.
St. Joseph Drug Chief Operating Officer Luis Yanga said the co-location reflects a shared vision of making the pharmacy experience an integral part of the patient's healthcare journey.
"The pharmacy is often where a patient's journey continues after the consultation. Through St. Joseph Drug powered by SUGI, we're combining St. Joseph Drug's trusted customer care, SUGI's pharmacy and retail expertise, and AC Health's integrated healthcare ecosystem to create a more seamless, convenient, and patient-centered experience," he noted.
AC Health has transformed Healthway into an expansive network of seven hospitals, 18 multi-specialty centers, and over 350 corporate clinics.
