Roadside coffin in Benguet reminds people to drive carefully

A coffin was placed on the side of the Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road in Barangay Ambuklao, Bokod, Benguet to remind motorists to drive carefully in the accident-prone area.
Officials of Barangay Ambuklao said they did not place the coffin to intimidate, offend, or disrespect people.
“It is a reminder to motorists to driving carefully on the zigzag Ambuklao Road,” they said.
They said that many motorists have figured in accidents in the area due to reckless driving.
The sign says: “Paalala: Mr. Driver, ang mamatay o mabuhay ng dahil sa iyo. INGATAN ang NAGIISANG BUHAY, MAGMANEHO NG MAHUSAY.”
(Reminder: Mr. Driver, life or death is up to you. TAKE CARE OF YOUR ONLY LIFE, DRIVE CAREFULLY.”
Barangay officials urged motorists to drive carefully not just in the Cordillera region but also in other parts of the country.
