House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III joined Filipinos on Sunday, July 5 in congratulating Filipino tennis phenom Alex Eala on her latest Wimbledon victory, wherein she beat defending champion Iga Swiatek from Poland in just two sets.
Dy, Isabela's 6th district representative, says Eala's historic run has become a source of pride for the nation and an inspiration for young Filipinos to dream big.
“Congratulations, Alex! Once again, you have made your kababayan proud," the House leader said.
"Sa bawat panalo mo, ipinapakita mo sa buong mundo ang husay, tapang, at determinasyon ng Pilipino,” Dy said.

The Speaker says Eala’s remarkable campaign has gone beyond winning matches, noting that she has become a symbol of perseverance and excellence for the next generation.
“You are not only winning matches—you are winning hearts around the world and inspiring countless young Filipinos to dream big and believe in what they can achieve," said Dy.
Dy also assured the 21-year-old Eala of the unwavering support of the Filipino people as she continues her quest for more history at Wimbledon.
“Laban lang, Alex! Kasama mo ang sambayanang Pilipino sa bawat hakbang ng makasaysayang kampanyang ito. Nandito kaming lahat, buong pusong sumusuporta sa’yo."
