LOOK: Bimby Aquino says mom comes first after first payday
Netizens praised Bimby Aquino after a video of him receiving his first paycheck from the noontime program Eat Bulaga! circulated online.
The clip, shared by the Facebook fan page "Kris Aquino World," shows Aquino signing a payment voucher before being asked who he planned to treat with his first salary.
"Bimb, sino itetreat mo sa first sweldo?" the person behind the camera asked.
"My mom, of course! I have to," Aquino replied.
He also said that half of his earnings would be donated to charity, citing a promise made by his mother, actress and television host Kris Aquino.
"Yan ang promise ni Mama to my priest, si Jun, Father Jun, or he's a Bishop now yata. So we're gonna donate half of it muna," he said.
The video also captured Aquino's surprise upon learning that his payment was given in cash.
"Wow, it's cash! I like cash!" he exclaimed.
Many social media users commended Aquino for his humility and expressed admiration for his gesture toward his mother and his decision to donate part of his earnings.
Aquino was paid for his work as guest host on "Eat Bulaga!"
He was welcomed on the program by hosts Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, Allan K, Maine Mendoza, Miles Ocampo, and Carren Eistrup.
Aquino has also been the subject of playful matchmaking jokes involving actress Ryzza Mae Dizon following their reunion on the show.
