ZAMBOANGA CITY - The suspect in the gruesome murder of a family of four in Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur surrendered to authorities on Thursday, July 2.
The suspect was identified as Frankie Barcelona Camiguing, 27, a resident of Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.
Camiguing was initially identified as a person of interest in the murder of 42-year-old barangay health worker Arlene Dumalte and her three children inside their home in Barangay Litapan last June 29.
Camiguing's mother, Rosabel, said that her son, a partner of Dumalte for the past two years, figured in a heated altercation with the victim which turned violent and deadly.
The bodies of Dumalte and her three children were discovered by a barangay official who was on the way to his farm the morning after they were killed.
Camiguing, who reportedly has a theft case, is facing multiple murder charges.
