Surigao del Sur's No. 1 most wanted falls

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Police said on Friday that the No. 1 most wanted person in Surigao del Sur has been arrested in Purok Langka, Barangay Arorogan, Marihatag, Surigao del Sur.
Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) Director Police Col. Jeffrey Lawrence D. Mauricio said the 57-year-old suspect was apprehended by the San Agustin Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by Police Capt. Val Adrien Eigen R. Tumulak.
Police Regional Office 13-Public Information Office chief Police Lt. Col. Jennifer S. Ometer said the suspect was arrested on a warrant for rape in relation to Republic Act 7610, also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act with no bail recommended.
The warrant dated Jan. 7, 2025 was issued by the Lianga, Surigao del Sur Regional Trial Court Branch 28.
The suspect was taken to the San Agustin MPS for proper documentation and legal disposition.
