Motorists are advised to brace for traffic disruptions as Pasay City will temporarily close a portion of Diokno Boulevard beginning July 6 to ensure security during the impeachment proceedings of Vice President Sara Duterte at the Senate.
Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office (PTPMO) chief Ferdinand Lee said the stretch of Diokno Boulevard from Seaside Boulevard to Atang Dela Rama Street will be closed to both northbound and southbound traffic every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The traffic scheme will remain in place throughout the trial, which is expected to run seven to eight months.
Lee advised motorists to take Macapagal Boulevard as an alternate route and follow the instructions of traffic enforcers deployed in the area to help ease congestion.
The PTPMO apologized for the inconvenience and appealed for public understanding and cooperation as heightened security measures are implemented during the high-profile proceedings.
