Bayambang municipal councilor killed in car crash

SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan – A municipal councilor of Bayambang, Pangasinan was killed in an accident in Barangay Turac here on Thursday night, July 2.
Police identified the victim as Jan Nazer David "Kulas" B. Junio, 25.
Initial investigation said the victim was driving a black Toyota Avanza at high speed when it rammed a concrete barrier on a bridge. His car was totally wrecked.
Junio was taken to the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City where he was declared dead to serious injuries.
His vehicle is under the custody of Barangay Turac.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
The municipal government of Bayambang has condoled with the family of Junio who was described as a hardworking, approachable, and compassionate public servant despite his young age.
Junio was the presiding officer pro tempore of the Sangguniang Bayan, chaired the Committee on Education, and advanced programs for the municipality.
The local government urged the public to pray for the councilor and his family during this difficult time.
