Cop gunned down in Zamboanga del Sur

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A police officer was gunned down in Barangay Tickwas, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur on Wednesday, July 1.

Police identified the victim as Police Patrolman Armejo Jornadal, a member of the 2nd Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Investigation said Jomadal was driving a motorcycle after completing a loan transaction when two men onboard another motorcycle appeared and shot him.

Jomadal died on the spot and the suspects seized the money and fled.

Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
