Over 250 children and parents joined Pasay City’s “Christmas in July 2026” celebration on Tuesday, July 1, embracing the holiday spirit months ahead of December.
The event, led by Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano in partnership with the Pasay Tourism Council and the Rotary Club of Makati GEMS, was held at the Barangay 190 Covered Court in Don Carlos Village.
In her message, Rubiano emphasized that the true meaning of Christmas goes beyond a single date on the calendar.
“Christmas in July truly sounds interesting, as it reminds us that the true spirit of Christmas is not about the date, time, or even the place. It is about generosity, love, and hope that we can share every day of the year,” she said.
The celebration featured games, gift-giving, and community engagement activities designed to bring joy to families.
It also included the Sagip-Mata initiative, which provided free eyeglasses to qualified beneficiaries as part of the city’s efforts to promote eye health and improve residents’ quality of life.
The mayor said the event shows Pasay’s ongoing commitment to compassion, service, and inclusive programs for residents year-round.
