ILOILO CITY – Police here recovered suspected shabu valued at more than P80.6 million in the first half of the year.
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) seized 11.8 kilos of shabu from Jan. 1 to June 30.
“The confiscation of more than P80-million worth of illegal drugs reflects our unwavering commitment to protecting the people of Iloilo City from the harmful effects of illegal substances,” said ICPO chief Police Col. Wilbert Parilla in a statement.
Police apprehended 431 suspected drug pushers from 355 anti-illegal drug operations. One-hundred twenty-five were high-value individuals (HVIs) or major drug players.
The City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) confiscated P41.92-million shabu and 80 suspected drug pushers.
Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, ICPO public information officer, said second was Police Station 2 with P14.5 million and third was Police Station 4 with P10.58 million.
