Getaway vehicle of suspects in murder of Bohols recovered in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon – Police here confirmed that a Toyota Hilux recovered on Monday night in Barangay Balubal here was the vehicle used by three suspects in the recent abduction and killing of former Abuyog, Leyte Vice Mayor James Bohol and his son Carlo James "Jimbo" Bohol.
Police said the vehicle matched information provided by Police Regional Office-8 investigators.
The abandoned vehicle was recovered after surveillance footages in towns in Quezon were reviewed in response to request for assistance from the Police Regional Office-8 to the Quezon Police Provincial Office.
Forensics and technical examination are being conducted on the vehicle with license plates HAH-5228.
The PRO-8 arrested the suspects in Pasay City. The victims’ bodies were discovered in Silago, Southern Leyte on Tuesday, June 30.
