A total of 235 out of 796 examinees passed the 2026 Shari’ah Special Bar Examinations (SSBE) given by the Supreme Court (SC) last May 24 and 27.
As counselors-at-law, the passers will be allowed to practice Islamic law and represent clients in the country’s Shari’ah district and circuit courts.
SC Associate Justice Henri Jean Paul B. Inting, chairperson of the examinations, said the passing grade was 75 percent. Inting also said the examinations were given both in English and Arabic.

3. Go, Michelle Love Carl Saludsod, 88.57 percent
4. Macapintal, Hann Nazia Saludsod, 88.47 percent
5. Escander, Sittie Ayesah Djulaida Arindig, 88.15 percent
6. Estrella, Mohammad Muktadir Ahmad, 87.55 percent
7. Usman, Hanna-Tunisia Fatima, 87.47 percent
8. Salisa, Rauda Ismael, 87.15 percent
9. Pontanal, Alpha Carole Onrubia, 86.97 percent
10.Misbah, Salahudden Saripada, 86.95 percent
At present, there are eight Shari’ah district courts (equivalent to regional trial courts) and 63 Shari’ah circuit courts (equivalent to municipal trial courts).
There are several Shari’ah district and circuit courts outside of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) which is composed of five provinces -- Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, and Tawi-Tawi.

In 2025, a total of 154 out of 628 examinees passed the SSBE given that year. In 2024, 183 out of 853 examinees passed the tests.
