Matty Juniosa earns Best Performance nod at UK Reality TV Awards
Filipino singer Matty Juniosa has earned a nomination for Best Performance on a Reality TV Show at the 2026 National Reality TV Awards (NRTA) in the United Kingdom.
The nomination was announced through the NRTA's official social media pages, recognizing Matty for his standout performances on the recently concluded "Britain's Got Talent."
Reacting to the news, Matty thanked fans for their unwavering support throughout his journey in the competition.
"I just want to say, you guys made this happen! We have been nominated for Best Performance on a Reality TV Show this year at the National Reality TV Awards here in the UK. So I would genuinely appreciate your votes," he said in an Instagram video.
Matty is nominated alongside fellow "Britain's Got Talent" acts Paul Nunnari, Hawkstone Farmers' Choir, Sadeck Berrabah & LMA, Celestial, and Anastasiia & Salsa. Also in the category are "Strictly Come Dancing" performers Karen Carney & Carlos Gu, Lewis Cope, Gorka Márquez, and Keisha Buchanan's "The Masked Singer UK" character, Moth.
Founded in 2011, the National Reality TV Awards recognize the UK's top reality television personalities, performances, and memorable moments, with winners determined through public voting.
Matty made headlines during his "Britain's Got Talent" audition after receiving Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer for his powerful rendition of Prince's "Purple Rain," which sent him straight to the semifinals.
He later earned another Golden Buzzer from Amanda Holden for his performance of Aerosmith's "Dream On" and ultimately finished fourth in the competition.
Following his successful run on the talent show, Matty now portrays Annas in the West End production of "Jesus Christ Superstar." He is also set to stage his first solo concert at Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre on Sept. 27.
