Comedian Ate Gay shares positive health update: 'Wala na akong bukol sa ilong at leeg'
Comedian Ate Gay shared a positive update on her health, revealing that she has reached another milestone in her recovery from cancer.
In a Facebook post, the comedian, whose real name is Gil Morales, happily announced that the lumps on her nose and neck have completely disappeared, citing the results of her latest MRI.
"Ang ganda ng Doktora ko oh (Dra. Jaime Fernandez) at magandang balita wala na akong bukol sa ilong at leeg result ng MRI yeheyyyy. Thank you Lord Jesus. 4 na lang na immuno (every 21 days) ay tapos na... salamat po sa dasal at sa mga Anghel ko," Ate Gay wrote.
Ate Gay was diagnosed with stage 4 mucoepidermoid carcinoma, which caused a large lump to develop on the right side of her neck.
She first disclosed her condition during an interview with Jessica Soho in September 2025, where she spoke candidly about the emotional toll of the diagnosis.
"Wala raw lunas. Masakit sa akin. Halos araw-araw umiiyak ako. Hindi naman ako nagkulang kay Lord. Although lagi kong sinasabi na walang himala," she said.
Throughout her treatment, Ate Gay received free medical care through the help of a fan, who also provided her with free accommodation in a condominium unit so she could stay near the hospital where she underwent treatment.
Now nearing the end of her immunotherapy sessions, the comedian expressed gratitude to those who continue to pray for and support her throughout her recovery.
