Bulacan teacher held for fatal stabbing of 14-year-old student
A 37-year-old teacher was arrested for the fatal stabbing of a 14-year-old student in Barangay Subic, Baliwag City, Bulacan, before dawn on Monday, June 29.
Lt. Col. Eisbon L. Llamansares, Baliwag police chief, said they received a call from Baliwag City Hospital around 3:30 a.m. regarding a girl rushed in with stab wounds to the neck.
Despite efforts by medical personnel, she was declared dead on arrival.
Investigators learned that the suspect himself brought the victim to the hospital along with her mother. He was immediately taken into custody and is now detained while a thorough investigation is underway.
Police conducted an ocular inspection at the crime scene and requested the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit to process evidence.
Authorities are preparing charges against the suspect.
Col. Jay B. Baybayan, acting director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said police are prioritizing a deeper probe to ensure accountability.
