SEPARATED AT BIRTH? Diwata finally meets alleged lookalike, MMDA's Nicolas Torre III

For years, the internet has insisted they share more than just a passing resemblance.

On Sunday, June 29, social media personality and entrepreneur Diwata decided there was only one way to settle the debate: meet MMDA General Manager Nicolas Torre III face to face.

After all, if the comment section keeps saying you're twins, why not schedule the reunion?

Diwata accepted the challenge from netizens and headed to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority headquarters in Pasig City to personally meet Torre.

"'Yung nag-comment na puntahan ko raw si Torre kasi magkamukha raw kami, sige. Challenge accepted!" Diwata said in a Facebook video documenting the visit.

Before arriving, the content creator joked about finally seeing the man many online have dubbed his "government version."

"Pupuntahan natin ngayon si General Torre sa MMDA kasi 'di ba MMDA na siya ngayon? Sana magtagumpay tayo para magkita kami."

Torre welcomed Diwata into his office with a smile, proving he was just as game for the viral comparison.

"'Yung mga nagsasabi diyan na magkamukha kami, ito na. Husgahan n'yo na!" Torre quipped, leaving the verdict to the public.

Diwata didn't exactly shut down the rumors either.

"Sa mga nagsasabing magkamukha kami, parang nga. Parang tama nga kayo," he laughed.

Not to be outdone, Torre delivered what might be the punchline of the entire encounter.

"Tatanungin namin ang mga tatay namin kung anong nangyari."

Cue the collective laughter from the internet.

Whether you think they're doppelgängers, distant relatives in another timeline, or just victims of the internet's eagle-eyed casting department, one thing is certain: the "Separated at Birth?" saga has officially gotten its live-action episode.
