Robinsons Land Corp.’s hospitality unit secured a top-three finish in a regional luxury travel ranking, boosting the developer’s portfolio as it competes in the Philippines' recovering high-end tourism sector.
Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu Resort placed third in the Philippines’ Beach, Island, and Upcountry Resorts category at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026. The property, located within the Amisa mixed-use development on the northern tip of Cebu’s Punta Engaño Peninsula, emerged as the highest-ranked resort in the province, according to a company statement.
The recognition underscores the growing valuation of Robinsons Land's hospitality assets under its subsidiary, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts. The hotel arm has been expanding its footprint to capture a larger share of both domestic and international leisure spending. The property's performance follows its Michelin Key distinction in 2025, adding to its premium branding.
The annual luxury awards, organized by Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Macau, rely on editor nominations and reader votes to evaluate regional hospitality properties, airlines, and cruise lines.
Barun Jolly, Senior Vice President and Business Unit General Manager of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, said the accolade reflects the brand's focus on service consistency. He noted that the resort's operational strategy relies on integrating regional culture with a specialized service model to drive repeat guest metrics.
The 272-room beachfront resort operates through a partnership combining Thai-inspired hospitality with local operations. The asset features a 100-meter infinity pool, the Namm Spa, and multiple food and beverage concepts, including Tradewinds Café and the Benjarong Thai restaurant. It also includes the pillarless Dusit Ballroom, aimed at capturing the lucrative meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions market.
Laurent Betourne, General Manager of the resort, credited the property’s frontline staff for driving the guest satisfaction scores that led to the ranking.
Parent company Robinsons Land continues to leverage its mixed-use developments to boost the yield of its hospitality investments. The company's strategy focuses on destination-driven properties that can sustain premium room rates amid rising competition in Southeast Asian luxury travel.
