PRESIDENT Marcos visited Sulu on Monday, June 26.
ZAMBOANGA CITY – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited Sulu on Monday, June 29, and witnessed the surrender of 195 loose firearms in Poblacion, Maimbung municipality.
“This is a significant transformation for our province,” said Vice Gov. Abdusakur Tan who joined Gov. Abdusakur Tan II in guiding the President on his visit.
Marcos inspected the newly constructed three-story building of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9B headquarters in Maimbung.
Construction was funded by the national government while the provincial government, then under the vice governor, donated the 1.8-hectare site and the perimeter fence.
“It is a great honor for us to host the President at our headquarters,” said Police Lt. Col. Sabri Lakibul, commander of RMFB 9B. He thanked the government for the construction of their new headquarters.
