Marala Bridge in Navotas closed after utility post collapses

The Marala Bridge in Navotas City was temporarily closed to all types of vehicles after a utility post collapsed in the area on Monday evening, June 29.
In a traffic advisory, the Navotas City government said the bridge was impassable to motorists due to the fallen post.
The city government said the incident had already been reported to Meralco, whose personnel were dispatched to the site.
First responders from the Navotas City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Traffic and Parking Management Office, Navotas City Police Station, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Navotas also responded to the scene.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and take alternate routes to prevent traffic congestion and inconvenience.
The local government also reminded residents and motorists to exercise extra caution while traveling.
