A loan marketing professional who had been wanted by authorities since 2025 for an estafa case was arrested by police inside an entertainment complex in Parañaque City on Sunday, June 28.
Police identified the suspect as Melecio, 43, a resident of Novaliches, Quezon City. He was listed as a high-profile fugitive operating within a major commercial and entertainment hub.
Melecio was apprehended inside the premises of a hotel in the Entertainment City Complex, Barangay Tambo.
According to police, the arrest stemmed from an intelligence report on the suspect's whereabouts.
Operatives from the Tambo Substation immediately conducted an operation and served the warrant of arrest.
The warrant was issued by Judge Divina Gracia Lopez Peliño of the Pasay City Regional Trial Court, Branch 231, on Nov. 4, 2025, for estafa. The court recommended no bail for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Following his arrest, Melecio was taken to the police custodial facility, where he remains detained pending the return of the warrant to the issuing court for proper legal proceedings.
