Police arrested a man after he threatened his wife with a bolo during a heated argument in Taguig on June 28.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at a residence on Guyabano Street, Panam Village, Barangay Pinagsama.
During the quarrel, the husband allegedly drew a bolo, pointed it at his wife, and threatened to kill her.
Fearing for her life, the woman fled and sought help at Taguig Police Sub-station 3.
Responding officers proceeded to the residence and found the suspect, identified as alias Anthony, 34, still armed with the bolo.
He was immediately arrested, and a search revealed a concealed improvised firearm, locally known as a “sumpak,” loaded with a live round of 5.56mm-caliber ammunition.
Authorities confiscated both the bolo and the improvised handgun.
The suspect now faces charges of grave threats and illegal possession of bladed, pointed, or blunt weapons.
