Jerry Yan's heartfelt message steals spotlight at F4's PH reunion concert
Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan shared an emotional moment with fans during the "F Forever 1st World Tour" concert at the Philippine Arena on June 27.
During his solo performance, the F4 member delivered a heartfelt message that deeply moved the audience, especially longtime fans of "Meteor Garden."
"When we were young, we always thought that the person we couldn't dare to let go of would never leave our lives. But then we realize some people are not meant to stay with you forever. They're just here to walk with you for a little while. That journey was so short, so short that looking back now it feels like it was just a single afternoon," Jerry said.
He continued his monologue by saying that although some relationships end, the memories remain forever.
"But it was also so long, long enough that even after 10 years, 20 years, you can still remember their voice, remember the weather that day, remember how fiercely you once loved someone," he said.
Jerry then reflected on what he believes is life's greatest regret.
"I think the biggest regret in life is not actually losing someone. It's when you suddenly realize one day, the person who used to make your heart race has slowly become just a memory," he said.
Despite the sadness of saying goodbye, Jerry said every relationship leaves behind meaningful memories and valuable life lessons.
"But it's okay because they teach you how to love, and you teach them what it feels like to be loved. And then honestly, it's already enough," he said.
The arena erupted in cheers as many fans believed the monologue was a tribute to Jerry's "Meteor Garden" co-star Barbie Hsu, who passed away in 2025.
