The controversy surrounding Kim Chiu's viral joke about Ryzza Mae Dizon appears to have taken on a life of its own.

Now, even "Eat Bulaga!" director Ice Seguerra has become part of the conversation after answering a question about the issue during a recent media interview.

Speaking to reporters at an event, Ice was asked to comment on the controversy.

While acknowledging he has not watched the exact video in question, he still offered a general reminder about being mindful of others.

"I think it would be better if we are more sensitive of people," Ice said.

The remark quickly made the rounds online, with netizens weighing in not only on Kim's original joke but also on Ice's decision to comment without first seeing the clip.

One user wrote, "Di nakita video tapos may say siya."

Others drew comparisons to past controversies involving veteran TV host Joey de Leon.

"Nagsalita ka pero yung mga rape joke ni Joey wala kang say hahahaa," one netizen commented.

Another wrote: "Ano masama sa sinabi ni Kim ha Ice??? I think it would be better also if you have an open mind to the joke of other person! And be sensitive also to the jokes of Joey de Leon."

Some users also argued that Ice may have misunderstood the context of Kim's joke.

"Isa pa 'tong nakisakay. Director yan ng Drag Race, nakikita niya kung paano ang dynamics ng mga tao kapag nagbibiruan. Kahit si Hanna Beshie, binibiro na Ryzza Mae."

Meanwhile, many continued to defend Kim, insisting that her remark had been taken out of context from the very beginning.

"Did Kim deliberately say that Ryzza Mae is not that pretty? The issue was blown out of proportion because the two are on separate noontime shows and different network," one commenter said.

Another explained that Kim's joke was actually directed at her co-host Jugs Jugueta.

"Hindi naman si Lutos Feet ang kahawig ni Ryzza. Si Jugs mismo mas kahawig ni Ryzza kaysa nagpanggap na Lutos Feet si Jugs. 'Yon ang ibig sabihin ni Kim. Joke for Jugs. Intindihin mabuti ang joke na sinasabi niyo."

One fan added, "Basta galing talaga sa bibig ni Kimmy, asahan niyo na ang mga bashers."

The online debate shows no signs of slowing down, with what began as criticism of Kim's joke now expanding into a wider discussion involving other personalities, differing standards for comedy, and the limits of public commentary.
