BATANGAS CITY - Classes on all levels and on-site activities were suspended at the Batangas City Integrated High School on Monday following an alleged shooting threat.
In a statement, the school said the suspension would be in place while the situation is under assessment.
“Everyone is advised not to enter or proceed to the school premises while the suspension remains in effect,” the school's Disaster Risk Reduction Management said. “The safety of everyone remains our highest priority.”
The school administration urged the public to report suspicious messages and refrain from spreading unverified information.
“Please remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious messages, accounts, or activities to the school administration or the proper authorities,” it said.
The school administration assured close coordination with the law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of the school community. The resumption of classes will be posted to the school's official channels, it said. (With a report from PNA)
