Pandacan bet wins Miss Manila 2026 as pageant makes comeback
A bet from Pandacan was crowned Miss Manila 2026 on Saturday night, June 27, as the city staged the return of its long-dormant pageant and named its next representative to Miss Universe Philippines.
The coronation at the Metropolitan Theater drew 21 candidates from across the capital.
The Pandacan candidate also dominated the night, winning Miss Photogenic, Best in Long Gown, and Miss Manila La Vie 2026.
Juvyel Anne Saluta of Intramuros finished first runner-up, followed by Yna Ysabel Garado of Singalong.
The new titleholder will compete in Miss Universe Philippines and receive a one-year contract with GMA Sparkle.
The pageant’s return filled the historic venue, with a crowd turnout that signaled renewed interest in the city’s flagship cultural event.
Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said reviving Miss Manila is part of efforts to restore the capital’s identity as a center of pageantry, tracing its roots to the Manila Carnival Queen.
The event is part of Manila’s 455th founding anniversary celebration.
