President Marcos has declared eight special non-working days in municipalities and cities in Nueva Vizcaya, Negros Oriental, Quezon, Laguna, Pampanga, Davao de Oro, Batangas, and Zamboanga del Norte.
Marcos declared July 3, Friday, as a special non-working day in the municipality of Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, for the celebration of "Bambang Day."
Bambang Day was originally held on July 5, which falls on a Sunday, prompting the mayor of Bambang to request that July 3 be declared a special day in lieu of July 5.
Through Proclamation No. 1332, Marcos moved the celebration two days earlier in order "to enable the people of the Municipality of Bambang to fully participate in the occasion."
The President also declared July 10, Friday, a special non-working day in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, for the celebration of its 22nd cityhood anniversary.
It was declared through Proclamation No. 1329.
Marcos said, "It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Santa Rosa be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration."
Marcos likewise declared July 14, Tuesday, a special non-working day in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, to mark the city's charter anniversary.
The holiday was declared through Proclamation No. 1331.
The Chief Executive declared July 15, Wednesday, a special non-working day in Mauban, Quezon, for the celebration of the "Araw ng Mauban." It was declared through Proclamation No. 1330.
July 21, Tuesday, was declared a special non-working day in Mabalacat, Pampanga, for the celebration of its 14th cityhood anniversary. It was declared under Proclamation No. 1328.
July 23, Thursday, was also declared a holiday in the municipality of Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, and in Batangas City for their respective founding anniversaries.
The two holidays were declared under Proclamation Nos. 1327 and 1326.
A special non-working day was also declared in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte on July 25, Saturday, for the "Kinabayo Festival."
It was declared through Proclamation No. 1325.
Marcos signed the proclamations on June 25.
