Tricycle driver shot dead in Cebu

CEBU CITY – A tricycle driver was gunned down in a terminal in Barangay Poblacion, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.
Reynaldo Mercado Amamangpan, 63, died on the spot, police said.
The victim was waiting for passengers in a tricycle terminal when the attack happened at 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, June 27.
Police said that according to witnesses, the victim was standing near his tricycle when two men on a motorcycle arrived.
The back rider of the motorcycle drew a firearm and shot the victim in the chest. The assailants sped off and the victim was brought to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Police said investigation is underway to identify the assailants and determine the motive of the attack.
