Cops net suspect in murder of former village dad

Police have arrested the suspect in the fatal shooting on Friday morning of a 42-year-old former barangay councilor in Hermosa, Bataan.
The suspect was caught before midnight Friday during a follow-up operation in Barangay San Juan, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Recovered from the suspect were a US Carbine caliber .30 with a loaded magazine and the white getaway Toyota Tamaraw.
The suspect and pieces of evidence were turned over to the Hermosa Municipal Police Station for proper documentation.
The suspect faces a murder complaint.
Police Regional Office-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez commended operating units for the swift arrest of the suspect.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
