A 31-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly pouring sewer water and stabbing her ex-boyfriend with a screwdriver at Pier 2, Parola Compound in Manila on Thursday night, June 25.
The Manila Police District Station 12 identified the suspect as Josephine, a resident of Isla Putting Bato, Tondo.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 p.m. while the 43-year-old victim was sleeping in a hammock near his truck.
He claimed that Josephine approached him, poured foul-smelling canal water on his face, and demanded money. When he refused, she stabbed him in the left arm with a screwdriver, which police later recovered.
The victim reported the incident to the barangay, leading to Josephine’s arrest.
He also said that this was not the first time she had assaulted him, saying she often struck him with wood or other objects during their five-month relationship.
Investigators further noted that the suspect had allegedly stabbed him on multiple occasions and had been unfaithful.
Josephine is now in the custody of Dalpan Police Station and faces charges of frustrated homicide under Article 249 of the Revised Penal Code.
