EPD said personnel stationed around the EDSA Shrine will serve as Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) contingents tasked with maintaining public order, ensuring public safety, and providing security throughout the activity.
Additional forces from the District Headquarters (DHQ) and the Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan City Police Stations (PaMaMariSan CPS) will remain on Reactionary Standby Support Force status at their respective headquarters, ready to reinforce operations and respond to contingencies.
Meanwhile, intensified anti-criminality operations will continue across Metro East, particularly in transport terminals, major thoroughfares, commercial establishments, and other strategic areas to deter criminal activity before, during, and after the rally.
Authorities have also coordinated with government agencies, local government units (LGUs), force multipliers, emergency response teams, and other stakeholders to help ensure the event’s orderly conduct.
Brig. Gen. Melecio M. Buslig Jr., EPD district director, stressed that the police remain committed to safeguarding the rally while respecting constitutional rights.
“The Eastern Police District remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring a peaceful and orderly White Ribbon March. Our personnel are directed to exercise maximum tolerance, uphold human rights, and work closely with partner agencies and local government units to guarantee the safety of all participants and the public while respecting every individual’s constitutional right to peaceful assembly,” Buslig said.
Authorities also urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with law enforcement, and immediately report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
