Building homes, breaking limits: The success of 'Wilcon 10-Miler Run'
The first-ever Wilcon 10-Miler Run took place on June 21, 2026, at Parqal, Aseana City, bringing together health and fitness enthusiasts, industry partners, suppliers, media representatives, and members of the running community from across the Philippines. The highly anticipated event inspired wellness and stronger community connections through a shared passion for running.
True to its theme, "Building Homes. Breaking Limits.," the Wilcon 10-Miler goes beyond the finish line by championing both physical wellness and social responsibility. More than a race, it is a platform for positive impact, with proceeds supporting humanitarian and environmental initiatives that help build stronger communities and a more sustainable future.
Runners of all ages and fitness levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, participated in the 5K, 10K, and 16K race categories. Gathering before dawn, participants arrived eager and invigorated, fully equipped with their exclusive Wilcon race kits and ready to conquer their chosen distances.
The program began with Wilcon representatives delivering their message to the runners. Following this, an energizing warm-up session was led by coach Maurice Lu to prepare the runner’s mind and body. The flagship 16K race kicked off at 4:00 AM, followed by the 10K category at 5:00 AM. At 6:00 AM, the 5K runners crossed the starting line, marking the start of a morning fueled by determination, perseverance, and community spirit.
The awarding ceremony celebrated the top finishers, who were honored with prizes and rewards as recognition of their hard work, determination, and athletic achievement. Beyond the podium, every runner was recognized for their effort, receiving an exclusive finisher shirt, medal, and loot bag as a lasting reminder of their race-day accomplishment.
Beyond the race itself, participants enjoyed a range of activities along the route and immersed themselves in the exclusive Wilcon-themed Race Village. Eats and refreshments were also available at the venue, giving runners a well-deserved opportunity to recharge and celebrate their accomplishment after crossing the finish line.
More than just building homes, this running event is about breaking limits. It is driven by the drive to teach the body to move forward with endurance and purpose. A journey much like building a home, where every step requires effort, commitment, and perseverance.
The proceeds from the Wilcon 10-Miler Run will benefit organizations such as ABS-CBN Bantay Kalikasan, Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc., and Crocodylus porosus Philippines Inc. Through this event, Wilcon aims to provide vital resources that support the needs, aspirations, and dreams of underserved Filipinos while contributing to environmental and community development initiatives.
