Music Travel Love returns to PH for three-city concert tour
Canadian act Music Travel Love is returning to the Philippines this week for a three-city concert tour featuring stops in Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, and Quezon City.
The group—made up of brothers Bob and Clint Moffatt, with Dave Moffatt—will open the Philippine leg on June 26 at Limketkai Atrium, followed by Waterfront Hotel and Casino on June 27, and will conclude on June 28 at New Frontier Theater.
Speaking at a press junket, Bob said Filipino audiences continue to stand out in their global touring experience.
“The energy is incredible. The fans in the Philippines bring a special vibe to our shows, unlike anywhere else in the world,” he said.
Bob said the setlist will draw from both their 1990s catalog as The Moffatts and their more recent work as Music Travel Love, describing the challenge as narrowing down a long list of hits.
“The only difficult part about our set list is cutting songs,” he said. “Every song on our setlist will have been a number one song.”
The group said the concerts will combine music with visual elements drawn from their travels, designed to create an immersive experience for audiences.
“The concert will also serve as a visual homage to all the countries we have visited on our musical journey,” the group said.
They also pointed to the Philippines as a key part of their career history, recalling their early success as The Moffatts, including large-scale fan gatherings and mall shows.
“This was definitely the pinnacle in our careers with The Moffatts,” they said.
In recent years, the group said the country has continued to influence their work, citing the filming of their “You Are My Sunshine” rendition in Camiguin as a standout experience despite difficult weather conditions.
The group also hinted at a forthcoming project in Bohol involving a Filipino artist, without providing further details.
While their music continues to chart globally, Bob Moffatt said their focus remains on connection rather than streaming numbers.
“You don’t need a massive number of streaming or radio play for a song to have power,” he said.
As they return to Filipino audiences, the group said their goal remains consistent: to deliver music that resonates across generations.
“We hope to bring smiles and joy to your hearts through our performances,” they said.
