Police arrested a housekeeper and her live-in partner in Barangay UP Village, Quezon City, after allegedly stealing P150,000 cash and household items from her employer’s residence.
The suspects were identified as alias “Jocelyn,” 52, the victim’s housekeeper, and her partner alias “Ruperto,” 50, both residents of the same barangay.
Investigators said the victim, a 59-year-old businessman, left his home at around 8 a.m. on June 23 for a meeting and returned at 7 p.m. to find his cash and several belongings missing, including kitchenware, furniture, and other household items.
“Jocelyn,” who had been employed since 2024, allegedly used her access to the residence to take the valuables and deliver them to “Ruperto.”
A follow-up operation by Anonas Police Station (PS 9) led to the arrest of the pair at their rented apartment at around 11:10 p.m. the same day.
Recovered items included a cooler, six monoblock chairs, an antique golden hanging mirror, a dresser, cups, plates, bowls, saucers, and identification cards.
The stolen P150,000 cash has not been recovered.
Both suspects are detained at Anonas Police Station, facing qualified theft charges against “Jocelyn” and violation of the Anti-Fencing Law against “Ruperto.”
