Student arrested for bringing pellet guns inside Zamboanga City high school

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A high school student was held after he was spotted carrying two pellet guns within the premises of a national high school here on Wednesday, June 24.
Police and barangay authorities initially responded to a report that a certain student was seen carrying guns inside the campus of the Recodo National High School. Polic confiscated the guns from the student.
Ben Asdali, a barangay councilor who responded to the scene, said that the pellet guns were used for playing war games with other children where the students live.
The guns, however, were said to have been brought to school by the student and slipped through the perimeter fence.
The carrying of guns gained national attention after the fatal shooting of three students of a school in Tacloban City by two schoolmates, both of who were minors.
