Businesswoman shot dead in Batangas meat shop

SANTO TOMAS CITY, Batangas – A 53-year-old businesswoman was gunned down in her meat shop on Wednesday morning, June 24, in Purok 5, Barangay San Roque, here.
Police identified the victim as Evelyn, a widow.
Investigation said the victim was tending to her store when two men on a motorcycle arrived. The back rider drew a gun and shot her four times. The victim died on the spot.
The suspects fled towards Barangay San Miguel here.
The driver was wearing a black Adidas T-shirt, shorts, and a red helmet and the back rider was wearing a green T-shirt, pants, and a white and black helmet.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
