Lisa has spoken about the importance of maintaining privacy in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, choosing not to go into detail about her personal life.
In the magazine’s summer cover story, “The Life of a K-Pop Showgirl,” Lisa’s global rise is explored alongside her expanding influence beyond music and the personal challenges that come with worldwide fame.
The feature briefly references long-standing rumors linking Lisa to Frédéric Arnault, the fourth son of Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH. Reports of a possible relationship first emerged in July 2023 following alleged sightings of the pair in Paris. Subsequent appearances and claims that Lisa had spent time with the Arnault family further fueled speculation among fans.
Earlier this year, renewed breakup rumors circulated after Arnault was absent from Lisa’s birthday celebration in Bali.
According to the Vanity Fair profile, Lisa “will not discuss her personal life in interviews,” and her publicist reportedly warned the interviewer twice against raising the subject.
When asked about the public interest in her relationships, Lisa instead spoke about her experiences with sasaeng behavior—obsessive fans or stalkers who invade personal boundaries.
She recalled incidents in which individuals attempted to enter her home, where she lives alone, and another who tried to get into her taxi. Lisa described these experiences as unsettling.
“I feel like after I came out and talked about how there’s no privacy for me, (fans) now respect that a lot more,” she said.
Despite the pressures of constant public scrutiny, Lisa expressed gratitude toward her supporters while acknowledging the difficulties of living under intense attention.
“They know that being in this position is not easy,” she said. “Sometimes it’s just a little too much, and sometimes I just want to be normal.”
