ILOILO CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) distributed new ambulances for provincial governments in Western Visayas region.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles led the distribution on Wednesday, June 24, at the old Iloilo Provincial Capitol here.
The provinces of Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo each received two new ambulances from PCSO under its Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program.
The new ambulances were received by Governors Paolo Javier of Antique, Fredenil Castro of Capiz, Maria Lucille Nava of Guimaras, and Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. of Iloilo.
Robles urged the provincial governments to use the ambulances for its intended purpose of transporting patients and not for personal purposes.
While Negros Occidental is no longer part of Western Visayas, PCSO also included the province in the distribution.
The governors thanked PCSO under the Marcos administration for the new ambulances that will boost medical services in their provinces.
Robles also distributed the lotto shares of the Iloilo and Iloilo City governments.
