The Pasay City government has advised motorists and commuters to expect heavy traffic and temporary road closures on Wednesday, June 24, as the city stages its Rainbow Parade in celebration of Pride Month.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the event, part of the Pasay Rainbow Festival 2026, will begin at 3 p.m. and is expected to draw participants from various sectors in support of the LGBTQIA+ community.
According to the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO), the parade’s assembly area will be along Tramo Street and EDSA before proceeding through Arnaiz Avenue, Roxas Service Road, and Derham Street, ending at the Pasay City Astrodome.
TPMO chief Ferdinand Lee noted that traffic congestion is expected along Tramo Street, Arnaiz Avenue, Taft Avenue, Leveriza Street, and F.B. Harrison Street as parade participants pass through these major thoroughfares.
Lee advised motorists to allot additional travel time, plan alternative routes, avoid affected areas when possible, and follow traffic signs and instructions from traffic enforcers.
Mayor Rubiano added that traffic personnel and law enforcement officers will be deployed along the parade route to ensure public safety and maintain the smooth flow of traffic during the event.
She also urged residents and commuters to check the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office’s official Facebook page for updates and traffic advisories.
