realme dropped an entry phone with some military upgrades. Battery that outlasts New Year's resolution and an IP rating to help you ride the upcoming storms. The realme C100 is built for survival.
Maybe one of the first highlights of the realme C100 is the 8000mAh Titan battery. realme promises a seven-year battery health guarantee, where the battery will retain 80% of its health after seven years. The 45W SUPERVOOC Charging can get that 8000mAh from 0% to 50% within 40 minutes. realme says 46 minutes.
Water and shock resistant
The realme C100 has an IP69 Pro certification, which covers four other IP grades, allowing it to withstand high-pressure water exposures, like water firing from a hose, and submersions of up to six meters, like accidentally dropping it in a flood. It also features MIL-STD-810H Military-grade shock resistance and ArmoShell Glass up to two meters, meaning you the device can fall from the height of a chair or a table and there is a high chance it will come out of it unscathed.
Rain Touch mode is a feature where the display remains responsive even when it has been splashed by water droplets or if you have wet hands. This means, you can skip those ads while watching YouTube videos when taking a shower.
120Hz display and what's under the hood
It's insane to think 120Hz refresh rates exists in smartphones these days, especially one leaning into the more affordable side such as the realme C100. Personally, a couple of years ago when I played mobile games at 30 fps, then switched to 60, then 90, the sheer difference when going back is screaming right in your face. So if you take on the 120Hz display, there's no going back from it.
It is powered with a MediaTek Helio G92 Max, which provides enough power to play some of the most played games out there like Genshin and Subnautica. Mobile tech has really gone far enough that entry-level devices can play some graphics intensive games. Maybe not in the highest settings, but more than enough to be enjoyable.
Memory includes 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Rear camera sports 50MP while the front.
Stay tuned for a full review coming soon. For now, the realme C100 is definitely something that you should check out.
