The Eastern Police District (EPD) and Northern Police District (NPD) have intensified patrols in and around schools to help ensure the safety of students, teachers, school personnel, and parents.
Police said personnel were deployed near school premises to maintain peace and order, deter possible threats, and provide immediate assistance when needed.

EPD acting director Brig. Gen. Melecio Buslig Jr. said the increased police visibility covers schools in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan.
He said that police personnel will continue conducting visibility patrols, monitoring activities, and coordinating with school officials and local stakeholders, especially during school opening and dismissal hours.
“The safety and security of our students, teachers, and parents remain our top priority. Through our enhanced police presence and active coordination with school authorities, we are committed to providing a secure environment where learning can thrive and every member of the school community can feel protected,” Buslig said.

Meanwhile, NPD acting director Brig. Gen. Benliner Capili said police visibility and security measures in schools under the district’s area of responsibility have also been strengthened.
Capili said the initiative aims to help students focus on their studies while giving parents peace of mind that their children are protected while in school.
“The safety of our students, teachers, and parents remains one of our top priorities. Through heightened police presence and close coordination with school authorities and local communities, we want to assure parents that their children are safe and secure while attending school,” Capili said.
The EPD and NPD said they will continue strengthening school security programs and community partnerships to help maintain safe and peaceful learning spaces.
