Pasay drug bust nets 4 suspects, ₱170K shabu

Police arrested four alleged drug personalities, including a member of the notorious “Sigue-Sigue Sputnik” gang, and seized around P170,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Monday, June 22.

Col. Joselito De Sesto, Pasay City Police chief, identified the suspects as Ohab, 25, a Sigue-Sigue Sputnik gang member; JM, 37; Fred, 34; and Tess, 53. All four were listed as newly identified drug personalities.

The suspects were apprehended at around 5:30 a.m. on F. Muñoz Street in Barangay 43, Pasay City.

De Sesto said operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), carried out the operation.

Recovered from the suspects were three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 25 grams of suspected shabu valued at P170,000, a marked P500 bill used as buy-bust money, and a black coin purse.

The arrested suspects are currently detained at the Pasay City Police custodial facility and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

De Sesto said the successful operation dealt another significant blow to the illegal drug trade in Pasay City.
