First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos (Liza Marcos)
Recognizing the importance of having food on the table, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos expressed hope that the rice distribution drive she is spearheading would go a long way.
The First Lady underscored how important it is for a mother to ensure there is food on the table, hoping that the rice aid would at least help ease their daily burden.
“Bilang isang ina, mahalaga sa atin yung may pagkain sa (As a mother, it is important for us to have food on the) table. Even if we cannot eradicate poverty, at least we hope that this little thing will help you in the days to come," she said.

Five kilos of rice were distributed to vulnerable families as part of ongoing efforts to provide immediate relief and support to communities across the metropolis, Malacañang said.
According to Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) Director Jay Dela Fuente, the sacks of five-kilo rice were distributed to 500 beneficiaries, including persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, and senior citizens.
Dela Fuente added that the rice aid will be extended to families in Pampanga Street, Sta. Cruz, District 3 in Manila on June 25.
Before the Manila distribution, the program was rolled out in Quezon City on Monday.
A weeklong series of community visits around Metro Manila will be conducted as part of the rice distribution campaign.
The First Lady will continue to distribute rice assistance in Quezon City, on June 24; Sta. Cruz, Manila, on June 25; and Novaliches, Quezon City, on June 26.
