Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis react to AHOF's JL Gaspar recreating their viral 'menudo' exchange

AHOF member JL Gaspar earned the attention of Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis after recreating one of the pair's most memorable "It's Showtime" moments alongside fellow group member Steven.
The viral video, posted on AHOF's official Instagram account, shows the two idols reenacting the now-iconic "menudo" exchange from a past "Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids" episode. JL stepped into Vice Ganda's role while Steven took on Anne Curtis' part, recreating the comedic interaction that has remained a favorite among Filipino viewers years after it first aired.
"I guess we just live in two completely different worlds," the group wrote in the caption, referencing one of Vice's memorable lines from the original segment.

The clip quickly caught the attention of fans, who began sharing it across social media and tagging both Vice and Anne in hopes that the hosts would see the tribute.
It wasn't long before they did.

Anne Curtis reposted the video on her account and shared a simple but enthusiastic reaction.

"[S]o cute!" she wrote.

Vice Ganda also responded to the recreation, reposting the video and expressing his excitement with a lengthy "Waaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!" accompanied by several applause emojis.

The reactions delighted both AHOF fans and longtime "It's Showtime" viewers, turning the lighthearted skit into a crossover moment between Philippine television and the rapidly growing K-pop-inspired boy group.

The original exchange came from a "Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids" episode in which Vice and Anne asked a contestant who dreamed of becoming a chef to identify the ingredients of menudo. When the contestant struggled to answer, the hosts began listing ingredients themselves, leading to a humorous moment when Anne referred to bell pepper as "capsicum."

Vice playfully teased Anne for using the more formal term, joking about their different perspectives and creating a segment that would later become one of the show's most quoted viral clips.

Fans were quick to praise JL and Steven for accurately capturing the energy and chemistry of the original exchange. Many also highlighted JL's natural understanding of Filipino humor, which has become one of his defining traits since debuting with AHOF.

As the group's Filipino member, JL has frequently incorporated local references and relatable comedy into AHOF's content, helping the nine-member act connect with audiences in the Philippines. His personality and humor have made him a fan favorite and played a key role in introducing more Filipino fans to the group.

The viral recreation arrives as AHOF continues to build momentum ahead of its first concert tour, "The First Spark."
